PIQUA – Greenville run ruled Piqua 12-0 in five innings of Greater Western Ohio Conference softball on Tuesday.

The Lady Wave scored three runs in the first inning, two in the third and seven in the fourth.

Greenville had 14 hits and no errors while Piqua had four hits and three errors.

Sydney Grote went 3-for-3 with a double, two runs and two RBI. Karsyn Shaffer was 2-for-3 with a triple, two runs and two RBI. Alli Hill was 2-for-3 with two RBI. Baylee Petry was 2-for-3 with two RBI. Lani Shilt was 2-for-3 and scored a run.

Morgan Gilbert was 1-for-3 with a double, a walk and two runs. Makayla Hanes was 1-for-3 with a RBI and a run. Courtney Bryson was 1-for-3 and scored a run. Cassie Cromwell walked once, drove in two runs and scored two runs. Haleigh Mayo walked once, stole a base and scored a run.

Baylee Petry earned the win by pitching three scoreless innings, allowing two hits and two walks while striking out one. Caitlin Christman pitched two scoreless innings, allowing two hits and no walks while striking out one.
