Tri-Village boys lose to Fort Recovery, Wapak


CELINA – The Tri-Village boys golf team finished third in a three-team match against Fort Recovery and Wapakoneta on Monday at the Mercer County Elks Golf Club.

Wapakoneta won the match by shooting a 169, Fort Recovery was second with a 179, and Tri-Village was third with a 183.

Knox Morris led Tri-Village with a nine-hole score of 42. Also for the Patriots, Brett Boyter shot a 46, Brandon Peters shot a 47, Tyler VanWinkle shot a 48, Luke Wheeler shot a 51, and Elijah Fourman shot a 61.

Logan Miller of Wapakoneta led all golfers with a round of 40 while Wapak’s Nick Bruns shot a 43, Kyle Huffman shot a 43, Jared Miller shot a 43, Luke Severt shot a 51, and Tanner Sweede shot a 51.

Chase Bruns led Fort Recovery with a 41, Jackson Hobbs shot a 43, Micaiah Cox shot a 47, Colt Grieshop shot a 48, Nick Litmer shot a 51, and Calvin Rammel shot a 52.

Tri-Village fell to 0-2 on the season with the losses.
