Franklin Monroe softball team earns No. 1 seed in OHSAA tournament

DARKE COUNTY – The Franklin Monroe softball team earned a No. 1 seed in the Ohio High School Athletic Association tournament.

Franklin Monroe (12-9) is the top seed in the Division IV Dayton sectional and will play host to fifth seeded Twin Valley South (3-12) at 5 p.m. May 9 in the first round of the playoffs.

Greenville (19-3) earned the second seed in the Division II Dayton sectional and will play host to 18th seeded Dunbar (1-6) at 5 p.m. May 9.

Arcanum (16-4) earned the fourth seed in the Division III Northmont sectional and will play host to eighth seeded National Trail (13-6) at 5 p.m. May 8.

Versailles (14-7) earned the sixth seed in the Division III Northmont sectional and will play host to seventh seeded Triad (14-10) at 5 p.m. May 8.

Tri-Village (12-8) earned the fifth seed in the Division IV Sidney sectional and will play host to ninth seeded Ansonia (8-13) at 5 p.m. May 9.

Bradford (10-11) earned the eighth seed in the Division IV Sidney sectional and will play host to 13th seeded Mississinawa Valley (4-17) at 5 p.m. May 9.
