ARCANUM – Arcanum lost 9-8 to Miami East in a Cross County Conference baseball game on Tuesday.

Arcanum took a 3-0 lead in the first inning then both teams scored one run in the second to make it 4-1. Miami East scored one run in the third, and Arcanum scored two to put the Trojans up 6-2.

Miami East mounted a comeback with two runs in the fourth, one in the fifth and four in the sixth to go up 9-6. Arcanum scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh but lost by one run.

Arcanum had nine hits and four errors while Miami East had eight hits and three errors.

Ben Sease went 3-for-4 for Arcanum, and Kaleb Shilt was 1-for-4 with two RBI.

Wade Meeks was the losing pitcher for Arcanum, who fell to 8-14 overall and 5-6 in the CCC.
