Greenville boys golf places 17th at Celina

CELINA – The Greenville boys golf team finished 17th out of 19 teams with a 394 at the Celina Bulldog Invitational on Friday at Fox’s Den Golf Course.

Liberty Benton won the tournament with a 326, beating out Kalida by virtue of a fifth-golfer tiebreaker. Shawnee finished third with a 329.

Jason Shields led Greenville with an 18-hole round of 86. Also for the Green Wave, Andrew Harshman shot a 98, Parker Allison shot a 194, Conner Null shot a 106, and Matt Hounshell shot a 127.

Kenton’s Britton Hensel was the invitational’s medalist as he shot a two-over-par 74.
