Dirt Late Model Dream begins at Eldora Speedway

The Dirt Late Model Dream began on Thursday night at Eldora Speedway in Rossburg.

ROSSBURG – Eldora kicked off the 23rd Dirt Late Model Dream series on Thursday night as Brandon Overton and Scott Bloomquist took the black and white checkered flags.

Thursday’s slate started off with eight heat races.

In heat race one taking the black and white checkered was the 39 of Tim McCreadie followed in second by the 5 of Don O’Neal, the 1P of Earl Pearson Jr. in third and the 71 of Hudson O’Neal in fourth.

The 21 of Billy Moyer came in first in heat two followed by the 28M of Jimmy Mars, the 22S of Gregg Satterlee and the C9 of Steve Casebolt.

In heat three coming in first was the 9 of Devin Moran, in second was the 32S of Chris Simpson, third was the 15 of Steve Francis and in fourth was the 25Z of Mason Zeigler.

The 71C of RJ Conley finished first in heat four followed by the 15H of Jon Henry, the 28 of Dennis Erb Jr. and the 1CJ of Rusty Schlenk.

Taking the black and white checkered in heat five was the 49 of Jonathan Davenport, second was the 25C of Shane Clanton, third was the 99JR of Frank Heckenast Jr. and fourth was the 20c of Jacob Hawkins.

In heat six taking the top four spots was the 44 of Chris Madden, the 32P of Bobby Pierce, the 20 of Jimmy Owens and the 18B of Shannon Babb.

The 14 of Darrell Lanigan took first in heat seven followed by the 116 of Brandon Overton, the 17M of Dale McDowell and the 25 of Jason Feger.

Taking the black and white checkered in the final heat of the night was the 0 of Scott Bloomquist, in second was the 7R of Kent Robinson, third was the 17 of Zack Dohm and fourth was the 83 of Scott James.

The B Features were each 12 laps each. Taking home the flag in the B Feature One was the c8 of Timothy Culp, in second was the 0J of Jake O’Neil, third was the 1G of Devin Gilpin and fourth was the 50 of Shanon Buckingham.

In the B Feature two the 1 of Brandon Sheppard was victorious then the 4B of Jackie Boggs finished second, the 21JR of Billy Moyer Jr. was third and fourth was the 55 of Jeep VanWormer.

The evening’s slate then shifted to the Twin Features, which were 20 five laps each. Taking home first in the first feature one was the 116 of Brandon Overton, in second was the 14 of Darrell Lanigan, third was the 5 of Don O’Neal and fourth the 25C of Shane Clanton.

Then the last race of the night was the Twin Feature 2, which saw the 0 of Scott Bloomquist taking home the black and white checkered. He was followed by the 44 of Chris Madden, the 28M of Jimmy Mars in third and the fourth place went to the 21 of Billy Moyer.
