GREENVILLE – The Greenville girls tennis team began the 2017 season on Friday with a 5-0 sweep of St. Marys.

In first singles Greenville’s Natalie Milligan beat Clare Caywood 6-3, 6-4. In the second singles match the Lady Wave’s Anna Manges beat Jillian Wine 6-1, 6-4. In third singles the Wave’s Emily Marshal beat Jennifer Brown 6-3, 6-1.

In the first doubles match Greenville’s Addie Haupt and Abby Swensen beat Kara Danaher and Allie Vanderhorst 7-5, 6-1. In second doubles the Lady Wave’s Alison Baughman and Casey Malott beat Bailey Lininger and Grace Dicke 1-6, 6-1, 6-3.

Greenville, which improved to 1-0 on the season with the win, will play host to Beavercreek at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday.
