Greenville girls golf team loses to Northmont


GREENVILLE – The Greenville girls golf team fell to 1-3 on the season as the Lady Wave lost 194-203 to Northmont on Wednesday at Turtle Creek Golf Course.

Jada Garland led Greenville with a nine-hole round of 46. Also for the Lady Wave, Ashley Karns shot a 52, Lainey Oswalt shot a 52, and Madelyn Brieg shot a 53.

Northmont’s Amara Tipple led all golfers with a round of 44, Hannah Toth shot a 49, Ashley Singer shot a 50, and Delaney Schmit shot a 51.

Greenville’s junior varsity girls golf team beat Northmont 253-255 to improve to 4-0 on the year.

Greenville’s Kourtney Kretschmar led all the junior varsity golfers with a nine-hole round of 51. Also for the Lady Wave, Kelli Kretschmar shot a 64, Jessica Mortensen shot a 64, and Katie Hurd shot a 74.

Carly Sherwood led Northmont with a 62, Emma Curits shot a 64, Katlyn Woodruff shot a 64, and Catie Loxley shot a 65.
