Tri-Village football team pummels Jefferson in season opener

DAYTON – Tri-Village started off the 2017 football season Friday night with a dominating 45-8 win at Dayton Jefferson.

Jared Buckley led Tri-Village with 22 carries for 250 yards and five touchdowns. He also intercepted a pass.

Christian Ricker caught two passes for 8 yards and a touchdown. He also had two interceptions, including one that he returned for a touchdown.

Trey Frech was 7-of-13 passing for 105 yards and a touchdown.

Dylan Finkbine had two sacks and recovered a fumble. Mason Coby intercepted a pass.

Tri-Village, which is now 1-0 on the season, will host its home opener against Dixie on Friday. Dixie is coming off a 56-40 win against Twin Valley South.
