Ansonia volleyball falls in 5 sets at Covington

COVINGTON – Ansonia lost to Covington in five sets of Cross County Conference volleyball on Thursday, falling 26-24, 14-25, 18-25, 25-14, 15-12.

Aliya Barga led Ansonia with 10 kills, Ryleigh Cloyd had eight and Bailey Stammen had four. Barga also led the Tigers with four aces while Emily Gariety and Katelyn McKenna both had two.

Stammen had a team-high six blocks, Barga had five, and Cloyd had three.

Barga had 21 digs, and Gariety added 17. Stammen led Ansonia with 10 assists, and McKenna added eight.
