Ansonia volleyball team loses in 5 sets at Bethel

BRANDT – Ansonia won the first two sets but lost the next three to fall 25-27, 24-26, 26-24, 25-17, 25-12 to Bethel in a Cross County Conference volleyball match on Tuesday.

Aliya Barga led Ansonia with 12 kills, and Bailey Stammen contributed nine. Barga also led the Tigers with three blocks.

Emily Gariety had a team-high 17 digs while Barga added 15. Stammen led the Tigers with 12 assists, and Katelyn McKenna added six. Gariety and McKenna both had two aces.
