Tri-Village beats Bethel via tiebreaker

ARCANUM – The Tri-Village boys golf team beat Bethel via a tiebreaker in a Cross County Conference match on Tuesday at Beechwood Golf Course.

Both Tri-Village and Bethel shot a 181 on the Woodland portion of Beechwood. Tri-Village won the match as the Patriots’ Knox Morris shot a 49 and the Bees’ Christian White shot a 53 in the fifth-man tiebreaker.

Tri-Village’s Brett Boyter was the match medalist as he shot a 42 for the nine-hole round. Also for the Patriots, Luke Wheeler shot a 44, Brandon Peters shot a 47, Tyler VanWinkle shot a 48, Morris shot a 49, and Dillon McCullough shot a 57.

Tyler Brookhart and Tyler Weinert both led Bethel with a round of 43. Also for the Bees, Nick Lightcap shot a 46, Connor Hockett shot a 49, White shot a 53, and Devon Turman shot a 58.

Tri-Village improved to 9-15 overall and 5-3 in the CCC with the win.
