MV grad named KIAC Attacker of the Week

RICHMOND, Ind. – Indiana University East volleyball players Mallory Livingston and Madison Yoder earned weekly awards from the Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference for the week of Aug. 31 through Sept. 6.

Livingston (Union City, Ohio/Mississinawa Valley High School), a senior, is the KIAC Attacker of the Week.

Yoder (Indianapolis, Ind./Ben Davis High School), a sophomore, is the KIAC Defender of the Week.

Livingston averaged 3.0 kills per set on a .236 hitting average along with 2.78 digs per set as IU East won four of five matches this past week.

Yoder contributed 4.56 digs per set and served up eight aces in the Red Wolves’ five matches.

The NAIA and KIAC has split its weekly awards this season. Weekly awards will recognize the top attacker, setter and defender in the conference and in the nation. The NAIA and KIAC recognized a single volleyball player of the week in recent seasons.

IU East (7-6) plays a KIAC match at Indiana University Southeast on Thursday.
