DELPHOS – Versailles senior basketball player Kami McEldowney scored her 1,000th career point in the Lady Tigers’ 82-23 victory against Delphos St. John’s on Thursday.
Versailles led Thursday’s Midwest Athletic Conference game 14-6 through one quarter and 35-15 at halftime. The Tigers increased their lead to 58-17 in the third quarter on their way to a 59-point victory.
Kami McEldowney and Danielle Winner each scored 13 points to lead Versailles in the game. Also for the Tigers, Caitlin McEldowney scored 12, Elizabeth Ording scored 12, Lindsey Winner scored 8, Kelsey Custenborder scored 6, Danielle Kunk scored 6, Mallory Marshal scored 4, Hailey McEldowney scored 3, Liz Watren scored 3, and Ellen Peters scored 2.
