Versailles girls bowling team wins home match

VERSAILLES – The Versailles girls bowling team beat Russia 2,399-2,184 in West Ohio High School Bowling Conference action on Saturday at McBo’s Lanes in Versailles.

Makenzie Berning led Versailles’ girls with games of 168 and 148, Haddi Treon rolled games of 161 and 149, Kalysta Thobe rolled a 186, Jena Mangen rolled a 164, Morgan Barlage rolled a 160, Morgan Heitkamp rolled a 152, and Lindsey Cheadle rolled a 116.

The Versailles girls improved to 8-1 with the win.

In other WOHSBC action on Saturday at McBo’s Lanes, the Ansonia boys bowling team lost 2,348-2,100 to Russia.

The Mississinawa Valley boys bowling team lost 2,465-2,267 to Marion Local. Zac Longfellow led MV with games of 178 and 164, Colton Hardwick rolled games of 197 and 139, Matt Slyder rolled games of 159 and 147, Mason Hardwick rolled games of 117 and 159, and Luke Livingston rolled games of 119 and 144.

The Versailles boys bowling team lost 2,801-2,507 to Coldwater. Brandon Bradley led Versailles with games of 180 and 193, Luke Shellhaas rolled two games of 171, Sam Bensman rolled games of 161 and 162, Seth Rinderle rolled games of 172 and 130, Chad Shimp rolled a 150, and Bretten Cheadle rolled a 137.

The Versailles boys fell to 5-6 with their loss, Mississinawa Valley’s boys fell to 2-7, and Ansonia’s boys fell to 0-8.

Ansonia’s boys will face Minster and Mississinawa Valley’s boys will face Russia at 1 p.m. Saturday at Speedway Lanes in New Bremen. Versailles’ boys will face Lima Bath at 1 p.m. Saturday at 20th Century Lanes in Lima.

The Ansonia girls will take on Fort Loramie and the Mississinawa Valley girls will take on Minster at 9:45 a.m. Saturday at Speedway Lanes in New Bremen. Versailles’ girls will take on Lima Bath at 9:45 a.m. Saturday at 20th Century Lanes in Lima.
