MV junior high athletes penalized by OHSAA

UNION CITY – Three Mississinawa Valley junior high basketball players will have to sit out a scrimmage next season for violations of Ohio High School Athletic Association regulations.

Mississinawa Valley Middle School had three student-athletes in boys basketball violate general sports regulation 7.3 when they participated in a non-interscholastic event in excess of the 50 percent limitation regulation. In accordance with Bylaw 11, Penalties, the OHSAA Commissioner’s Office has ruled the three students ineligible for the school’s first scrimmage of the 2015-16 season.
