ARCANUM – Franklin Monroe beat Arcanum in five sets during their annual Volley for the Cure match on Saturday in Arcanum.

After Franklin Monroe took a 1-0 lead with a 25-20 lead, Arcanum fought back and went up 2-1 with a 25-19 win and a 25-22 win. Franklin Monroe then tied the match at 2-2 with a 25-14 win and then won it with a 15-13 win.

Morgan Booher led Franklin Monroe with 21 kills, 15 assists, three blocks and 16 digs. Makenzie Kreitzer added eight kills, two blocks and five digs. Carrie Baker led the Jets in assists with 20. Kelly Fourman had 13 digs, and Sydney Bowser added nine.

Shai Robinson led Arcanum with 11 kills while both Rebecca Deao and Stevie Johnting both added 10. Elle Siculan had a team-high 16 digs, Brittany Kinney had 14, Robinson had 13, Emily Miller had 12, and Alexis Abner added 10. Siculan also led the Trojans with 15 assists while Kinney added 14. McKenzie Sharritts led the team with three blocks.
