Versailles volleyball team moves up in OHSVCA state rankings

COLUMBUS – The Versailles volleyball team moved up one spot to No. 14 in Division III in this week’s Ohio High School Volleyball Coaches Association state rankings.

After being ranked 15th in the state last week, Versailles moved ahead of Tuscarawas Valley in the OHSVCA state rankings. The Lady Tigers trail Gates Mills Gilmour Academy, St. Henry, Sparta Highland, Coldwater, Orrville, Huron, Massillon Tuslaw, Newark Catholic, Frankfort Adena, Lore City Buckeye Trail, Milan Edison, Pemberville Eastwood and Newton Falls in the Division III poll.

Versailles is the lone Darke County volleyball team ranked in the OHSVCA poll.

A number of other teams with Darke County connections are ranked in this week’s poll. Troy from the Greater Western Ohio Conference is ranked No. 17 in Division I, St. Henry from the Midwest Athletic Conference is ranked No. 2 in Division III, Coldwater from the MAC is ranked No. 4 in Division III, Miami East from the Cross County Conference is ranked No. 18 in Division III, Marion Local from the MAC is ranked No. 5 in Division IV, and New Bremen from the MAC is ranked No. 14 in Division IV.
