Greenville graduate Madison Bixler earns KIAC player of the week honors


Greenville High School graduate Madison Bixler, a women’s tennis player for Indiana University East, was named the Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Women’s Tennis Player of the Week.

RICHMOND, Ind. – Indiana University East freshman Madison Bixler is the Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Women’s Tennis Player of the Week, the league announced today.

Bixler (Greenville, Ohio/Greenville High School) won in singles and doubles Sunday to help the Red Wolves to a 5-4 conference win against Brescia University.

Bixler’s No. 4 singles match was played with the team score tied at four. Her victory clinched the team win for IU East. It was the Red Wolves’ first win against Brescia since 2011.

Bixler and the Red Wolves play today at Wittenberg University.
