GREENVILLE – The Lady Wave varsity golf team defeated the visiting Northmont Lady Thunderbolts 197-215 at Turtle Creek Golf Course in a Tuesday night non-conference match.

“It was a great win, especially since we played the back nine,” said Greenville coach Tracy Haines, “and the girls do not like to play the back nine.”

Greenville senior Riley Hunt was medalist on the day shooting a 44 for the Lady Wave.

“Riley played great today,” Haines noted. “She shot a personal best of 44.”

Rounding out Greenville’s top four scorers included: Kenna Jenkinson with a 47, Lainey Oswalt carding a 50 and Makenzie Glancy shooting a 56 for the Lady Wave.

“Kenna had an off day on the golf course but played the four holes even par,” said Coach Haines. “Lainey started off a little rough but was able to recover and play the last few holes well. Makenzi was back playing after not playing the last few matches due to wrist issues and played well.”

The four top scorers for the Lady T-Bolts: Jaedin Bowers with a 51, Sam Despain a 52, Carly Sherwood shot a 53 and Priya Armour with a 59.

With the win, the Lady Wave improve to 11-1 (.917) on the season and remain perfect in Miami Valley League play with a 6-0 record.
