Arcanum boys basketball team loses by 10 to Fort Recovery


FORT RECOVERY – The Arcanum boys basketball team lost 54-44 to Fort Recovery on Tuesday night.

Fort Recovery took a 13-8 first quarter lead and extended its lead to 24-17 at halftime. Fort Recovery added to its lead in the third quarter, going up 38-29, en route to the 54-44 win.

Wade Meeks led Arcanum with a game-high 21 points in the loss. Also for the Trojans, Cole Burrell scored 11 points, Evan Atchley scored five, Brandon Kinney scored four, and Devin Burns scored three.

Chase Bruns led Fort Recovery with 15 points in the win while Micaiah Cox scored 14 points, Matt Bihn scored seven, Darien Sheffer scored six, Caleb Martin scored five, Brandon Schoen scored three, Jason Roessner scored two, and Wes Wenning scored two.

Arcanum fell to 1-3 with the loss while Fort Recovery improved to 2-0. The Trojans will return to action at home on Friday against Cross County Conference foe Bethel.
