Versailles girls defeat Mississinawa Valley in WOHSBC bowling match

VERSAILLES – The Versailles girls bowling team beat Mississinawa Valley in West Ohio High School Bowling Conference action on Saturday at McBo’s Lanes in Versailles.

The Versailles girls beat MV 2,442-1,962. Hannah Niekamp led Versailles with games of 190 and 172, Morgan Hietkamp had games of 205 and 137, Brigette Holsapple had games of 169 and 162, Maggie Hedrick rolled a 175, Olivia Bruening rolled a 143, and Morgan Barlage bowled a 107. Spencer Warren led Mississinawa Valley with games of 174 and 168, Kayla Harris had games of 148 and 156, Payton Reichard rolled games of 112 and 132, Tabitha Richards had games of 122 and 120, Audree Weimer rolled a 105, and Tiffany Westfall rolled a 96.

The Ansonia girls lost 1,935-1,704 to Marion Local. Madison Stover led Ansonia with games of 151 and 158 while Jordan Campbell rolled a 132 and 106, Meghan Wilson rolled a 120 and a 97, Rose Swanson bowled a 117, Molly Walls had a 112, and Katlynn Yeagle rolled a 103.

The Versailles girls improved to 3-2 on the season with their win while Ansonia fell to 1-4 and Mississinawa Valley fell to 0-5.

The Ansonia boys lost 2,310-2,229 to Russia. Seth Philippi led Ansonia with games of 203 and 172, John Fischer rolled a 152 and a 183, Austin Hill bowled games of 137 and 188, Trent Rader had a 105 and an 89, Jedd Rismiller bowled a 121, and Allen Christman rolled a 102.

The Mississinawa Valley boys lost 2,950-2,252 to Coldwater. Joe Teeter led Mississinawa with games of 190 and 170, Brandon White rolled a 200 and a 136, Andrew Reichard had a 150 and a 135, Alex Longfellow rolled a 145, Dilyn Rammal bowled a 145, Lucas Newbauer rolled a 123, and Dominic Rammel bowled a 102.

The Versailles boys lost 2,683-2,558 to Fort Loramie. Kyle Cotner led Versailles with games of 194 and 201 while Alex Groff had games of 192 and 179, Brody Hyre bowled a 183 and a 155, and Jacob Wenig rolled a 165 and a 163.

The Versailles boys fell to 3-2, Mississinawa Valley fell to 0-4 and Ansonia fell to 0-5 with their losses.

The WOHSBC teams will return to action on Saturday at Pla-Mor Lanes in Coldwater. The girls will bowl at 9:45 a.m. with Ansonia facing New Bremen, Mississinawa Valley facing Fort Recovery and Versailles facing Russia. The boys will bowl at 1 p.m. with Ansonia and Versailles squaring off against each other and Mississinawa Valley facing Minster.
