Man arrested for trafficking Crack Cocaine

DARKE COUNTY — On Wednesday, Tarrelle L. Sumlin, 29, of Greenville, was arrested for trafficking Cocaine after the Darke County Sheriff’s Office drug unit and Darke County deputies along with Greenville City Police, executed a search warrant at 311 West Water Street.

The arrest stemmed from a Crack Cocaine trafficking investigation.

Sumlin was taken into custody without incident by Darke County Sheriff’s deputies. He is currently being housed at the Darke County Jail. He awaits formal charges on multiple counts of trafficking in crack cocaine within the vicinity of a school.

Items located during the search warrant included marijuana and prescription pills packaged for sale along with drug paraphernalia. Darke County Children’s Services was contacted due to several children found inside the residence during the execution of the search warrant.

Darke County Sheriff Toby L. Spencer said he takes a hard stance against illegal drug trafficking and the illegal use of drugs in the county. Citizens with information on illegal drugs or any criminal conduct are asked to contact the Darke County Sheriff’s Office at 937-548-2020.
