July 24

-10:44 a.m.: theft. Police responded to a residence in the 300 block of Oxford Drive on a report of audio equipment stolen from a car.

July 29

-6:54 a.m.: vandalism. Five vehicles were found to have their tires punctured in the 200 block of Euclid Avenue, resulting in multiple calls to police.

-9:21 a.m.: disorderly conduct. Police responded to the 200 block of Euclid Avenue on a nuisance and vandalism complaint. Todd Magoto was arrested for disorderly conduct and issued a nuisance order. The landowner, Paul Schmitmeyer, also was issued the nuisance order, and he issued Magoto an eviction notice.

-5:08 p.m.: theft. A wedding ring, cash and CDs were reported stolen from an unlocked car parked in the parking lot at 537 Wagner Ave.

-8:02 p.m.: warrant. Trey Morton was arrested on a bench warrant out of Darke County Municipal Court for disorderly conduct.

Accidents

-Michael S. Miller, 64, of Richmond, Indiana, was cited for failure to yield after a two-vehicle collision July 28 at 5:38 a.m. According to the crash report, Miller was southbound on the northbound exit ramp to U.S. 36/State Route 571 and turned east onto U.S. 36 and failed to yield to the vehicle driven by Eric M. Couch, 23, of Arcanum, who was northbound on State Route 571 crossing U.S. 36 to the on ramp for U.S. 127. Both drivers were checked by Greenville Township Rescue for possible injuries. Both vehicles were heavily damaged.
