Greenville man indicted for attempted murder

GREENVILLE — A Greenville man accused of stabbing a man in the chest at a party is set to face a jury next month.

Dale Leroy Brock Jr., 56, of Greenville, was indicted by grand jury on one count of attempted murder, a first-degree felony, and two counts of felonious assault, second-degree felonies, for the stabbing of David A. Elliott at a party May 2. Police said the dispute between the two men went back 20 years or more.

Elliott was stabbed in the chest, piercing his heart and a lung.

Bond was set at $100,000, and Brock remains in custody at the Darke County Jail. The jury trial has been set for Sept. 22-23. He is represented by attorney David Rohrer.

Brian D. Burk, 54, of Ansonia, was indicted on two counts of felonious assault, a second-degree felony, for causing serious harm by means of a deadly weapon — a motor vehicle — in an incident June 1. He also was indicted on a count of criminal mischief, a third-degree misdemeanor.

Burk, represented by Matthew J. Pierron, is set to appear for pretrial Aug. 31, and jury trial is scheduled for Oct. 13-14.

Darke County Prosecuting Attorney R. Kelly Ormsby III released the following report on more recent Darke County Grand Jury activity:

• Heather N. Fox, of Arcanum, was indicted on a charge of nonsupport of dependents, based on an investigation by the Darke County Child Support Enforcement Agency.

• Scott A. Fansler, of Greenville, was indicted for possession of cocaine and driving under the influence, following investigation by the Darke County Sheriff’s Office.

• Casey L. Selig, of Greenville, was indicted for endangering children, domestic violence and resisting arrest. Greenville Police Department handled the investigation.

• Kyle A. Reigelsperger, of Greenville, was indicted on two counts of burglary, theft of drugs and theft, based on an investigation by the DCSO.

• Marcy M. Jett, of Greenville, was indicted on two counts of receiving stolen property, based on an investigation by the DCSO.

• Rick L. Fleetwood, of Greenville, was indicted on of two counts of trafficking in heroin, based on an investigation by the DCSO.

• Jeanna M. York, of Greenville, was indicted on two counts of trafficking in heroin, based on an investigation by the DCSO.

• Ebony Redditt, of Greenville, was indicted for trafficking in heroin, based on an investigation by the DCSO.

• Blake J. Hilderbrand, of Greenville, was indicted on a charge of aggravated possession of drugs (Hydrocodone), based on investigation by GPD.

• Ebony S. Redditt, of Greenville, was indicted on a charge of possession of cocaine, based on investigation by the Greenville Police Department.

• Jordan D. Jenkinson, of Union City, Indiana, was indicted on a charge of possession of cocaine and possession of heroin, based on an investigation by the Union City Ohio Police Department.

• Shane Perreira, of Greenville, was indicted on a charge of disrupting public services and two counts of breaking and entering, based on an investigation by the GPD.

• Jason T. Taylor, of Greenville, was indicted on a charge of domestic violence, based on an investigation by GPD.

• Erika J. Hall, of Greenville, was indicted on a charge of vandalism and escape, based on an investigation by the Darke County Adult Probation Department.

• Tabitha M. St. Myers, Winchester, Indiana, was indicted on a charge of aggravated trafficking in drugs, based on an investigation by the DCSO.

• Michael J. Crawley, of Shelbyville, Indiana, was indicted on a charge of Workers Compensation fraud and theft, based on an investigation by the Ohio Bureau of Workers Compensation.

• Shala D. Partin, of Greenville, was indicted on a charge of possession of heroin, based on an investigation by GPD.

• William L. Smith Jr., of Greenville, was indicted on a charge of trafficking in heroin and aggravated trafficking in drugs (Fentanyl), based on an investigation by the DCSO.

• Julie L. Bath, of Greenville, was indicted on two counts of trafficking in heroin, based on an investigation by the DCSO.
