4-Her’s photo earns accolades

GREENVILLE — Molly Hunt won at county judging for her project “Focus on Photography” so she became the Darke County State Fair delegate at the Ohio State Fair.

“Once at the fair, I competed against 57 people in ‘Focus on Photography’ and won outstanding of the day,” she said. “Then I was notified by the Ohio State University that my photo had been selected as one of the top 20 in the state. Out of the 260 photos that were brought to the fair on Aug. 8, the judges selected the best 20. My photo will be on display for the entire year at Nationwide and Ohio Farm Bureau 4-H Center on The Ohio State University Campus and also on display for thousands of fair-goers at the 2016 Ohio State Fair.”

She said this is only the second time anyone from Darke County has won this award. The photo was also on display in the senior fair board office at fair.

Hunt, daughter of Brian and Teresa (Luce) Hunt, is junior at Greenville Senior High School and a nine-year member of Genesis 4-H Club.

“It was a huge honor to receive this award and I feel very privileged to be able to represent my county at the state level,” Hunt said. “My 4-H goal has always been to make my county proud. The photo is entitled ‘En Pointe’ and is a black and white photo of my good friend Abigail White up on toe shoes.”

Hunt, who is also a member of junior fair board, said that was the third project she took to the state fair this year.

“I also took Your First Home Away From Home and Look Great For Less which I also won Outstanding of the Day,” she said.
