Greenville girls golf team loses to Vandalia-Butler

GREENVILLE – The Greenville girls golf team lost 198-216 to Vandalia-Butler in Greater Western Ohio Conference North Division action on Wednesday at Cassel Hills Golf Course.

Casey Mortensen led Greenville with a nine-hole round of 47. Brianna Fourman shot a personal-best round of 49 for the Lady Wave.

Butler’s Kaitlyn Jackson led all golfers with a round of 46.

Greenville fell to 7-6 with the loss while Butler improved to 2-9.

Greenville’s junior varsity girls golf team beat Miami East 266-269 on Tuesday at Lakeland Golf Club.

Victoria Landis led Greenville with a nine-hole round of 58. Also for the Lady Wave, Ashley Karns shot a 66, Madelyn Breig shot a 71, and Kylie Beam shot a 71.

Miami East’s Maressa Kearns led all golfers with a 56.

Greenville’s junior varsity squad improved to 1-1 with the victory.
