TIPP CITY – The Franklin Monroe girls basketball team lost 35-20 to Bethel in a Cross County Conference game on Thursday.

Bethel shut out Franklin Monroe in the first quarter to take a 6-0 lead. The Bees extended their lead to 19-2 by halftime and led 25-6 through three quarters. FM finished strong and outscored Bethel 14-10 in the fourth quarter for the 35-20 final score.

Kinsey Goins led Franklin Monroe with six points in the game. Also for the Lady Jets, Hannah Eley scored four points, Tara Goubeaux scored four, Carrie Baker scored three, Allyson Masterson scored two, and Danielle McVey scored one.

Franklin Monroe will return to action at 1 p.m. Saturday in a game at Fort Recovery.
