The Focus: Tell it everywhere

0

The shepherds were awestruck as they looked upon the baby Jesus. It was true! Everything the angels had spoken to them was the absolute truth! THE SAVIOR HAD ARRIVED!

And almost instantly, these scruffy shepherds realized that they couldn’t keep this Good News to themselves. Others needed to know that the long-awaited Savior had finally arrived.

“When they (the shepherds) had seen Him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this Child, and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them.” (Luke 2:17)

Now, were these woolly-watchers the first missionaries? Nope … but they were the first to understand that along with receiving the incredible Good News comes the awesome responsibility to tell others.

As you deepen in your relationship with Christ and as your love for Him grows – – you can not and must not keep the Good News to yourself. In light of what Jesus Christ has done for us – – not only through His birth, but also through His death and resurrection – – each of us should desire to share this Good News with others.

Now, your method and style of sharing the Good News with others may differ from my method and style. That’s o.k.! Regardless of your method, the message of Christmas – – God’s unbelievable love for you and me – – is a story that deserves being told again and again and again!

Remember the words of Jesus … “Go into all the world, baptize them, and teach them …” (Matthew 28:19)

So, let’s join together and “Go, tell it on the mountain, over the hills, and EVERYWHERE!” … and that includes your very own home, your neighborhood, your school, your workplace, and your community!

JESUS IS BORN!
