Bradford girls basketball team loses to St. Henry

BRADFORD – The Bradford girls basketball team lost 44-30 to St. Henry on Saturday.

Bradford took a 10-9 first quarter lead but trailed 26-15 at halftime after being outscored 17-5 in the second quarter. St. Henry extended its lead to 38-23 in the third quarter en route to the 14-point win.

Mackenzie Weldy led Bradford with a game-high 13 points in the loss while Mandi Bates scored 10 points, Ally Booker scored five and Kelly Moore scored two.

Kendra Rose and Ellie Stammen led St. Henry with 12 points each while Nikki Keller scored eight points, Jacey King scored six, Danielle Lange scored four, and Cara Brockman scored two.

Bradford fell to 4-8 with Saturday’s loss while St. Henry improved to 3-8.

Bradford will play at Newton on Jan. 9.
