Bradford girls place 2nd, boys 4th at Kenton powerlifting meet

BRADFORD – The Bradford girls placed second and the boys placed fourth at the powerlifting meet on Saturday at Kenton High School.

The Bradford girls lifted 4,385 pounds to finish as the runner up behind Bluffton, who lifted 4,780 pounds.

Kenton won the boys meet by lifting 12,660 pounds, St. Marys finished second by lifting 12,135 pounds, Margeretta placed third by lifting 11,425 pounds, and Bradford finished fourth by lifting 10,155 pounds.

Rachel Lavey won the girls unlimited weight class, and Michelle Bixler won the 145 pound class.

Daryn Booker won the boys 185 pound class.

Rebekah Lavey finished as the runner up in the girls unlimited class, and Cheyenne Parke finished second in the girls 125 pound class.

Bryson Canan placed third in the boys 155 pound class.

Olivia Daugherty finished fourth in the girls 115 pound class while Lillian Elleman place fourth in the girls unlimited class.

Baily Powell finished fourth in the boys unlimited weight class.

Breanna Bixler placed fifth in the girls 115 pound class, and Hannah Stine finished fifth in the girls 125 pound class.

Brandon Jones placed sixth in the boys 125 pound class while Brandon Mitchell placed sixth in the boys 210 pound class.

Dylan Mitchell finished eighth in the boys 135 pound class.

Dalton Bubeck placed ninth in the boys 125 pound class, and Cory Cotrell finished ninth in the boys 195 pound class.

Larkin Painter finished 10th in the boys 155 pound class, Dylan Cassel finished 10th in the boys 175 pound class, and Cole Gambill finished 10th in the boys unlimited class.

Bradford will host a powerlifting meet on Feb. 27.
