LEWISBURG – Tri-County North shut out Ansonia 9-0 in a Cross County Conference baseball game on Thursday.

North scored three runs in the first inning, two in the second, two in the fifth and two in the sixth while holding Ansonia scoreless.

Ansonia had six hits and three errors in the game. TCN had 14 hits and no errors.

Trevor Beam went 2-for-3 with a double for Ansonia. Cody Burnfield was 1-for-2 with a walk. Lake Clark, Rygh Fortkamp and Dane Wentworth all went 1-for-3.

Fortkamp pitched four innings and allowed two earned runs and two unearned runs on eight hits, one walk, one hit batter and two strikeouts. Clark pitched two innings and allowed three earned runs and two unearned runs on six hits, three walks and one strikeout.

Ansonia fell to 1-8 overall and 0-5 in the CCC with the loss.
