Tri-Village baseball team defeats Dayton Christian

MIAMISBURG – The Tri-Village baseball team beat Dayton Christian 11-4 on Friday.

Both teams scored two runs in the first inning. After Tri-Village took a 4-2 lead in the second, Dayton Christian cut it to 4-3 in the third. Tri-Village added to its advantage with four in the fourth and one in the fifth to lead 9-3. After Dayton Christian scored one in the fifth, Tri-Village scored the game’s final two runs in the sixth.

Tri-Village had 11 hits and three errors in the game. Dayton Christian had seven hits and two errors.

Jonny Wilson went 2-for-3 with two runs and a RBI. Tanner Maples was 2-for-3 with three RBIs.

Christian Ricker pitched three innings and allowed two earned runs and one unearned run. Camren Munchel earned his first varsity victory by pitching four innings in relief, allowing one run and no walks and striking out two.

Tri-Village improved to 8-7 with the win.
