HUBER HEIGHTS – The Greenville boys finished third and the girls finished fourth at the Wayne Invitational swim meet on Saturday at the Huber Heights YMCA.
Northmont won the boys portion of the meet with 261 points, Xenia finished second with 242, Greenville was third with 204, Fairborn finished fourth with 90, Wayne placed fifth with 86, and Minster finished sixth with 72.
Minster won the girls portion of the meet with 297 points, Xenia finished second with 230, Northmont was third with 209, Greenville finished fourth with 143, Wayne placed fifth with 141, Fairborn finished sixth with 85, Greeneview was seventh with 74, and Stebbins finished eighth with 52.
The Wayne Invitational featured a unique format in which swimmers competed against others in their grade level.
Josh Smith won the senior boys 100 freestyle in a time of 55.56. He also won the senior boys 50 backstroke in 29.42.
Seth Conway won the junior boys 50 breaststroke in 32.91.
Pablo Badell won the sophomore boys 50 butterfly in 30.42 and the sophomore boys 50 breaststroke in 33.46. He also finished second in the sophomore 100 individual medley in 1:06.28.
Isabella Gable won the sophomore girls 50 freestyle in 26.5, she won the sophomore girls 100 freestyle in 52.32, and she won the sophomore 100 individual medley in 1:06.29.
Maggie Bankson won the freshmen girls 50 butterfly in 30.14. She won the freshmen girls 100 individual medley in 1:08.28.
Isabel Elliott finished second in the junior girls 50 breaststroke in 39.07.
