Mississinawa Valley softball team run rules Fairlawn

UNION CITY – Mississinawa Valley run ruled Fairlawn 11-1 in five innings of softball on Saturday.

Mississinawa scored three runs in the first inning, four in the second, three in the third and one in the fourth while limiting Fairlawn to one run in the top of the fifth.

Mississinawa Valley out-hit Fairlawn 16 to five in the game.

Bailey Johnson went 3-for-3 with a double, a stolen base, a RBI and three runs. Makayla Coning was 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, a RBI and a run. Kinsie Blocher was 2-for-3 with a double and five RBI. Taydem Elson went 2-for-2 with a double, a walk, a stolen base, a RBI and three runs.

Paxton Scholl was 2-for-3 with a stolen base, a RBI and two runs. Amanda Jeffers was 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and a run. Lindsay Johns was 1-for-2 with a walk, two stolen bases and a run. Lupe Arrona was 1-for-2 with a RBI.

Scholl pitched the complete game, allowing one run on five hits, two walks and 10 strikeouts.
