Versailles volleyball team ranked 11th in OHSVCA state poll

COLUMBUS – Versailles dropped one spot while Franklin Monroe fell out of the rankings in this week’s Ohio High School Volleyball Coaches Association state poll.

Versailles dropped from 10th to 11th in Division III in the OHSVCA’s second weekly poll of the season. The Lady Tigers are ranked behind Coldwater, Utica, Tuscarawas Valley, Eastwood, Independence, Ottawa-Glandorf, Miami East, Fairbanks, Liberty-Benton and Southeastern.

Franklin Monroe, which was ranked 17th in Division IV last week, fell out of the rankings after suffering losses to state-ranked Fort Recovery and Miami East.

A number of other teams with Darke County connections are ranked in this week’s poll. Centerville from the Greater Western Ohio Conference is ranked No. 11 in Division I, Coldwater from the Midwest Athletic Conference is ranked No. 1 in Division III, Miami East from the Cross County Conference is ranked No. 7 in Division III, New Bremen from the MAC is ranked No. 2 in Division IV, St. Henry from the MAC is ranked No. 3 in Division IV, Fort Recovery from the MAC is ranked No. 4 in Division IV, Marion Local from the MAC is ranked No. 8 in Division IV, New Knoxville from the MAC is ranked No. 17 in Division IV, and Delphos St. John’s from the MAC is ranked No. 18 in Division IV.
