GREENVILLE – The Greenville girls basketball team won its season opener on Friday, defeating Graham 41-30 in the semifinals of the Annie Oakley Shootout.

Greenville took a 15-10 first lead quarter and led 28-20 at halftime. The Lady Wave led 33-25 through three quarters on their way to an 11-point victory.

Haleigh Mayo led Greenville with 12 points in the game. Also for the Lady Wave, Jada Garland scored 9 points, Morgan Gilbert scored 7, Koryann Elliott scored 4, Lani Shilt scored 4, Payton Brandenburg scored 3, and Annie Hayes scored 2.

Katelyn Nash led Graham with 11 points. Also for the Falcons, Brooke Johannes scored 6 points, Lexi King scored 6, Bailey Buell scored 2, Olivia Burr scored 2, and Lexi Neeld scored 1.
