GREENVILLE — Darke County Parks’ staff is hard at work planning this year’s Prairie Days festival.
Prairie Days will take place on Sept. 24 and 25. This free event focuses on the prairie way of life in and around 1780 through 1810 and will feature crafts, games, and trades of the time period.
Each year, this event requires the hard work of many volunteers to make everything come together. Darke County Parks is in need of volunteers for this year’s event. Volunteers will be needed to assist with several activities such as pioneer Olympics, rope making, and sorghum press demonstrations.
Volunteers are also needed to help with several crafts that will be offered; kites, candle dipping, paper quilts, wind socks, and pioneer hats.
If you have an interest in volunteering, please call the nature center at 937-548-0165 to sign up or visit www.darkecountyparks.org/prairie-days.
DCP is also looking for vendors for Prairie Days. If you would like to apply please contact us at [email protected].
