Thank you for your service JD
But consider, “JD” Vance, a four year pup Marine corporal, served, as one cable commentator coined, “a desk job” grunt as part of public affairs duties. Although a claimed early “writer”/ service journalist, he had no leadership assignments to speak of, notwithstanding, that he ultimately held a cushy military occupational specialty of Media Relations Officer. He remained a lower rank service member.
Nonetheless, being a “Marine” had and continues to have a nice ring to it. Let it be clear, however, regardless of his reported military “job title” using the word “Officer” Vance was not a commissioned officer serving in a command position.
His service, while commendable, has a negligible value compared to vice president candidate Ted Walz with 24 years military service reaching the highest active duty enlisted rank while serving his country in seasoned, sensitive, and serious positions of actual command leadership. Vance’s attacks on Walz are typical of an underling type mindset of being a malcontent, insulting complainer without honor or respect. Walz is a true person I’d want next to me during my military service regardless of location.
Vance who is now seeking executive political office is just as wet behind the ears now as he was when he first entered his military service.
As far as Vance’s graduate degree from an ivy league school, it’s a dime a dozen credential if he hasn’t learned to grow into a convincing and responsible leader capable of improving this country’s lot for a betterment of this nation, its citizens, our allies and the world’s well being.
So far, the trash talk that has spewed from his mouth as a vice-presidential candidate is concerning. His supportive wife once covering for her political mate’s early “foot in mouth faux pas” was a loyal and kindly thing to do. Corporal Vance, however, you should learn to stand on your own Marine two feet! Be a respectful leader! Maybe this is why you, “JD” Vance, are perceived as so unlikeable. Also, it could be due to Vance being thought of as a continual purveyor of oddities.
For seeking such a high position of leadership of vice president, former Marine “JD” Vance has not produced a figure worthy of our support this November.
Maybe its time for Vance to bring out his “white flag”, for which I too would say “thank you” again!
Respectfully,
Tom Petkewitz,
