I am Concerned
I am told that, because I graduated Greenville High School and attended the United States Military Academy at West Point, my record can be found in the Garst Museum. All I know is that I am an unprofitable servant who has merely done his duty. I twice had the privilege of leading Infantry Platoons in Afghanistan. I give all glory to the LORD Jesus Christ and all credit to my NCOs for bringing my boys back home alive. A wise man once told me not to forget where I came from. I will not.
I came home to find my Ohio in disarray. Men I wrestled beside in high school killed by Fentanyl. Women I sat next to in class sold into sexual slavery. Forces of darkness and perversion crushing the souls of my people.
In my heart of hearts, I am Tom Joad in the Grapes of Wrath, and my soul cannot abide injustice. I have committed my life and treasure to combating this murderous evil through the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I have worked with men of God (far better than I) to pull addicts and low-level dealers off the streets and into God*s House. I have faced armed threats, betrayal, and harassment. I have been canceled, criticized, and mostly ignored. But I count it all Joy, for I have seen men totally transformed from the slaves of darkness into the children of Light and born witness to the True Freedom that only comes from receiving the risen LORDship of Jesus and trusting in the blood of His sacrifice on the Cross for forgiveness of sins (John 8:32, 36).
I am deeply concerned for my country. I am concerned because a politically motivated show trial convicted a former President of the United States of 34 felonies on the premise ofa bookl‹eeping misdemeanor committed by a corrupt employee. The statute of limitation had expired, and he was never proven to be aware of the offense.
I am concerned because defaming false rhetoric labeling this same man a ”Nazi” motivated a troubled young man to shoot him. I am concerned because this attempt was enabled (based on my experience in small unit tactics) by the intentional incompetence of the Secret Service. I am concerned because Corporate Media, Big Tech, and the current Administration are burying this and have not sufficiently restrained their hateful rhetoric towards this former President and his supporters.
I am concerned because a debate performance revealed that the current President of the United States is not mentally competent for the job, and that the Media and his political party (including the current Vice President) have been covering up this incompetence for years. I am concerned because these same Media and Tech Moguls are exalting this Vice President as some kind of messiah, when she will not give a no holds barred policy interview nor provide corrections to former policy positions which are explicitly Communist (including open borders, the redistribution of wealth, and the termination of the 2nd Amendment by force). I am concerned because her running mate’s valor is stolen (meaning he has no regard for the truth) and because he has significantly compromising ties to the Chinese Communist Party. I am concerned.
These are the facts. But it’s the questions that terrify me. Who is running this country? Who is influencing the decisions of our government? Are there shadowy figures behind the scenes driving our country into the ground (e.g. China, the Cartels, European Billionaires, Islamic Radicals, Iran etc.)? I am no conspiracy guy. I like my razors (Hanlon’s, Occam’s, Jeremy’s). But all Americans, regardless of ethnicity, politics, and denomination should find these questions horrifying. What are we to do about it?
I have some advice:
1. Have Faith. Repent of your personal sins (John 3:1-21) and turn to the LORD Jesus Christ (Romans 10:9-13). From Him alone comes the inner peace and courage we need in this dark hour.
2. Love (John 15:5, John 15:13). Do not panic and do not jump to conclusions. (Matthew 5:44).
3. Vote. Register and get to the polls (and take a friend or twenty).
4. Stand. Be prepared to defend the Constitution to the death against adversaries both foreign and domestic. Look to the Local Police and Sheriffs who are God’s present magistrates (Romans 13).
5. Hope. The fundamental hope of this nation lies in the open preaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and living according to His WORD. We are United at the foot of the Cross. Nothing changes that and it is never too late.
With all my Love, Godspeed,
Tmothy Owen Bowers,
Anna
