GREENVILLE — Miss Scarlet, Professor Plum and the rest of the gang are returning to Greenville Public Library for their annual Murder in the Stacks event on Friday, Oct. 14. Beginning at 6 p.m., the library will open its doors to investigators out to solve this exciting whodunit murder mystery.

For one night only, the library is turned into a real-life edition of the classic board game, Clue. Those in attendance will be invited to search for clues and interact with the characters made famous by the film of the same name.

The first three individuals or teams to solve the murder of the library’s dearly departed director Mrs. Boddy will win their very own Murder in the Stacks t-shirt and a pair of tickets to the Darke County Center for the Arts’ Ghost Walk event of their choosing.

For those new to the event, clues can be found on cards hidden throughout all three floors of the library. Investigators will have to search for these clues in addition to asking each character for a clue in order to solve the mystery. At the end of the investigation, an accusation can be made at the Circulation Desk.

Light refreshments will be provided during the event. Investigators can plan on spending anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour completing the game. There is no time limit, however the event ends at 8 p.m.

Registration is recommended, but not required for this event. To register, contact the library at (937) 548-3915 to let us know you plan to attend and how many will be in your group.
