UNION CITY, Ohio — Word of Life Worship Center (WOLWC) seven miles north off of the Indiana-Ohio Stateline, Union City, Ohio, will be celebrating 20 years of service on Dec. 4.

The church, located at 1395 Ellis Road, started with just three people—the pastor, his wife and their 2-year-old grandson.

The country church has been home to many people over the last 20 years. WOLWC has been home to weddings, baby dedications, anniversary celebrations, revivals, children’s Vacation Bible Schools, community church services, Biker Sundays, missionaries from India, Africa, Philippines, homeland missions and the parting of family and friends through funeral services.

Pastor George and Marie Hughes and congregation of Word of Life Worship Center invite all those who may have attended in years past through the present to come and celebrate with a carry-in meal following the morning service.

Children’s church will begin at 10:30 a.m. for children 3 to 12 years of age and morning worship will begin at 10:30 a.m.

“We look forward to worshiping with you and celebrating a 20-year milestone for Word of Life Worship Center — ‘the Country Church with a Big Heart’,” said the Hugheses.
