Museum to host historic dinner

VERSAILLES — On April 1 (no fooling), those at Versailles Area Museum will turn the clock back to an early spring night on Main Street in Versailles (recreated in the Knights of Columbus Hall).

“We invite our guests back in time to the fabulous 1950s,” said organizers. “We will enjoy cocktails and appetizers served at the legendary Frenchies. Following that, we’ll stop by a stop the C&J Café for their smorgasbord. But were not done yet, let’s cross the street for a sweet treat at Brown’s Sweet Shop for an iconic dessert and some crazy tunes. It’s time to find those poodle skirts, varsity jackets and saddle shoes. We are going to the hop with all the thrills we can remember!”

Tickets go on sale now at the museum or by calling the museum office at 937- 526-4222, leaving name number and amount of tickets needed and officials will return that call. Remember, the museum is closed now until February 2017.

All tickets remain at $50 each, but museum members will receive $5 off each of their tickets as a way “for us to say ‘thank-you’ for your support.” Full tables of eight are available if ordered at one time. Only a limited number of seats can be offered in the Father Jaekle Room at the Versailles K of C.

“Order early so you won’t be disappointed,” organizers said.
