ARCANUM – Dr. Jesse Heiser will be guest of the Arcanum Wayne Trail Historical Society (AWTHS), Saturday, August 12, at 10 a.m. for the final Coffee and Conversation session this year.

Joining Dr. Heiser will be his daughter Esther Hoover and Gregg and Patty Spencer, all who will share stories of living in Pitsburg, Ohio.

“Dr. Heiser enjoys everything about Darke County. He likes to share his stories. The Historical Society invites everyone to come join them for an hour to reminiscence living in the southern Darke County village. We want others to share stories,” said organizers. “Maybe folks remember: when the Pitsburg branch of the Arcanum National Bank was robbed, there were two other names of the the village before it was voted the name Pitsburg; some of the Pitsburg Lion Club Queens; riding the train from Pitsburg to neighboring Arcanum. There are many events to talk about. Bring stories and photos to share.”

AWTHS staff will scan photos for its files. AWTHS is located at 123 W. Geroge Street. Contact AWTHS by calling Barb Deis at 937-662-0119 or email [email protected]
