DARKE COUNTY — Darke County Center for the Arts recognized Edison State Community College for its support of the DCCA Family Theatre Series and Arts In Education programs.

Through Arts In Education, and in conjunction with local schools, performing artists are annually taken to each grade of every public school in Darke County, ensuring that children in the community have the opportunity to learn and grow through the arts.

“DCCA thanks Edison State Community College for their strong support of the arts in Darke County, through their sponsorship children and families are given the opportunity to learn & grow through the arts,” said Andrea Jordan, DCCA executive director. “Edison State Community College’s support of children’s programming makes it possible for us to present professional Family Theatre Series programs at an affordable ticket price, and enables all Darke County public school students to experience a culturally enriching artistic program each year.”

DCCA’s 2015-16 Family Theater Series continues with ArtsPower presenting a colorful musical production of the storybook favorite “Madeline & the Bad Hat” on Nov. 15; and Lightwire Theater returns to Darke County with a cosmic adventure of its latest electroluminescent puppetry production “Moon Mouse – A Space Odyssey” on April 3.
