GREENVILLE — The Greenville Boys & Girls Club is having its annual canned food drive to benefit FISH Food Pantry of Greenville.

They are asking for non-perishable food donations to be dropped off at the club on South Broadway, Greenville, between 4 and 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday or Saturdays from 1 to 4 p.m. now through Nov. 28.

The annual 127 Yard Sale was a success, it was reported, with a big thanks to those who supported and donated items for the yard sale. A special thank-you goes to Pamela C. McCain of Greenville Relief for her help.

“We hope to see everyone next summer here at the Greenville Boys & Girls Club’s 127 Yard sale,” said Director Tom Jenkins. “We accept donations all year-round.”

The annual raffle of two cedar chests was drawn during the 2015 Cruise-In in September. Winners were Tom Butts and Shirley Gariety.

The club has annual fundraisers and receives donations throughout the year that helps them fund activities for the club, such as Shawnee Prairie Days, a Dayton Dragons game, VFW fishing, The Zoo, Greenville City Park events and the club’s Beggar’s Night Haunted House for children who would be considered less fortunate to help build their self-esteem.

Greenville Boys & Girls Club memberships are $2 a year for children ages 7-15.
