GREENVILLE — Residents, community and business leaders gathered at Brookdale Greenville Senior Living Community, formerly Sterling House/ClareBridge of Greenville, for a ribbon-cutting celebration on Tuesday.

The Greenville location’s celebration was one of several renaming events held throughout the chain of facilities in the Dayton region and throughout Ohio. Brookdale Greenville reflects its connection to the Brookdale senior living family and the large network of services it provides for senior adults, said officials.

“I want to welcome everyone today, back in August we merged with Emeritus Senior Living and became one large company, Brookdale. Now, we are the largest senior care provider in the United States,” said Shelli Jackson, executive director. “It’s a new beginning for us and we are excited to be part of Greenville.”

“I appreciate all the employees and all the residents,” said Bowers. “We’ve got a great community, we are an aging population, which I qualify for, and that’s a good thing. It’s good to see how our community takes care of our seniors and all the things that they do.”

Sharon Deschambeau, president of the Darke County Chamber of Commerce congratulated Jackson and Bell on the renaming.

“Thank you for allowing us to help you celebrate,” she said.

The ribbon cutting was presented by the Ambassador Committee of the Darke County Chamber of Commerce.
