Stocking contest spreads holiday cheer

GREENVILLE – Patients visiting Reid Orthopedic Center (ROC) and Reid rehab locations in Richmond and Greenville, Ohio, are getting in on a friendly holiday competition.

More than 20 employees at ROC, ROC Surgery and Rehab have decorated stockings that are hung “with care” in waiting areas in each location and are receiving votes for favorites. “Feedback from patients is positive and the creativity is wonderful since they were limited with pre-constructed stockings,” said Tonya Ross, Business Director, Musculoskeletal Service Line with ROC.

She said the top three winners will be announced Dec. 18.

“Team members and visitors are welcome to stop by to see them and vote,” Ross said.

She noted that the contest was inspired by a pumpkin contest conducted in October in the Reid Heart & Vascular Center area on the main campus, which also generated a lot of positive patient and visitor comments.

“Staff really got behind the idea, and it has become a conversation piece among patients in the waiting room,” Ross said.
