TROY – The Hayner’s Drawing Room Chamber Series will open at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 30 with opera’s greatest hits featuring Ginger Minneman, Kylene Griffith Terhune and Sarah Reinhardt.

Guests will take a whirlwind tour of great music from the world of opera.

Minneman has an impressive biography, serving as clinician and educator at Wright State University. She was opera conductor for WSU’s “The Magic Flute” as well as directing scenes from “Die Fledermaus” and “The Pirates of Penzance.” She also performs regularly as a soloist.

Terhune is rapidly becoming one of the Miami Valley’s most sought-after singers and has performed many roles. She has most recently starred as the Queen of the Night in Mozart’s “The Magic Flute” and as Laetitia in WSU’s production of Menotti’s “The Old Maid and the Thief.”

Reinhardt was an audience-favorite for her recent portrayal of Katisha in Gilbert and Sullivan’s “The Mikado” and will star in the title role in WSU’s upcoming production of Lehar’s “The Merry Widow.”

Since 1998 this intimate chamber series has been presented at the Hayner on the last Tuesday of most months in the school year.

Beginning in 2017 Hayner has concert pianist Steven Aldredge as its host. Aldredge is also a sought-after composer and an educator at Wright State University.

The series is presented free to the public because of the generosity of the citizens of Troy and loyal sponsors. Learn more about Hayner’s cultural events and the folks who support them at www.TroyHayner.org.
