Injured motorcyclist flown by CareFlight

ANSONIA — CareFlight was called to the scene of an accident west of Ansonia, Ohio, Sunday evening.

At approximately 6:13 p.m., Darke County Sheriff’s Deputies, along with Ansonia Fire and Rescue and CareFlight responded to the 3800 block of Ohio Route 47 on a report of an injury motorcycle crash.

Preliminary investigation revealed Timothy S. King, 57, of Union City, Indiana, was operating a Red Harley-Davidson Classic westbound on Ohio Route 47 and failed to negotiate a curve, traveling off the right side of the roadway into a ditch. King was ejected from the motorcycle into a field. He was not wearing a helmet. King was taken by CareFlight to Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio, for his injuries. His status is unknown at this time.

The accident remains under investigation by the Darke County Sheriff’s Office.
